Ronald Cooke Obituary

Ronald A. Cooke, 90, Bradenton, died May 24, 2006. He was born Feb. 18, 1916, in West Medford, Mass., and came to Manatee County in 1982 from Saco, Maine. He was a member of the Rotary, First Parish Church of Saco and Oneco United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters Constance Caron of Saco and Janice Kendrick of Portland, Maine; a sister, Dorothy of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; a brother, Warren of Hampstead, N.H.; and four grandchildren. No visitation is planned. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Golf Lakes Clubhouse in Bradenton. Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1179, Bradenton, FL 34206; or to Golf Lakes Memorial Fund, 5050 Fifth St. E., Bradenton, FL 34203.
