I am so very sorry to read of the passing of a man that for years treated me so special. I met him as a little girl on Cape Cod and I never took to anyone as I was a very shy child. Tom reached for my hand and I actually took it. I was only 2 and still have the memory. Every year a holiday did not pass without him sending something to remember me and I always felt so special. He never forgot till I was in my 30's and married but we stayed in touch. We had a reunion in SC IN THE 90's I am now 51 and I have moved around quite a bit due to unfortunate circumstances and he lost track of me. I was doing a facebook search to see if I could find him and found this sad news. I am so sad and he will be forever in my memories. My Prayers go out to his family.

oct 11, 2011 Was sorry to read of your passing in the Lake Placid paper. Many happy memories of you, Bobbi, and the boys in those beautiful Lake Placid summers. Especially that lobster dinner at your home on lovely evening.

Tom, ol' friend....We shall miss you and cherish those wonderful visits, talks and history lessons in the early mornings at First Watch and Publix....We will miss our phone conversations and so appreciate your checking up on us every now and then. We are equally grateful for those times we were able to assist you with your transportation needs to and from our favorite medical facilities. Tom, in your wise, experienced, and gentle way, you touched numerous lives in your travels...Those kind souls are no doubt better for it today and will fondly remember you as we always will....You had the respect and admiration of everyone who came in contact with you. Too few are granted so warm a personality and so fine an intelligence. To those you loved and cherished and for those who loved and cherished you, we extend our most sincere and heartfelt condolences. Hugs, love and blue skies....Jeanette & Donald Ristow, Lakewood Ranch, FL
