Tracht, Tinsley
Nov. 15, 1963 - Feb. 2, 2013
Tinsley Tracht, 49, of Sarasota, passed away February 2nd, 2013 at 4:00 AM in the morning after a long, hard fought battle with breast cancer. She was born to Sandra and Garry Tracht in Atlanta, Georgia on November 15th, 1963. Tinsley lived in Sarasota during her childhood. She went to Sarasota Christian School, Riverview High School and graduated from Baylor University with degrees in Elementary Education and Nursing.
Tinsley had a special God given gift for taking care of newborn babies and she was currently a neonatal nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Before moving back to Sarasota, Tinsley lived in Dallas, Texas where she worked for Baylor University Medical Center NICU and the Presbyterian Hospital NICU nursery.
Tinsley always wanted to be a mom, and God blessed her greatly by giving her literally hundreds of newborn babies to care for. She took care of all her newborn babies as if they were her own. In the process, she became an integral part of more families than can be counted. As a result, Tinsley was able to make lifelong friends with the largest and most diverse group of people imaginable. During her bout with Cancer, Tinsley's legion of friends came from everywhere to help and support her. She had more nurses and families taking care of her than an entire wing of a hospital. Tinsley's life was an example of what friendship is and what selfless caring earns. Tinsley left this earth a truly rich person; rich in the currency of friendships and relationships. Her family loves her dearly and aspires to follow her example of the road to true success in this world.
Tinsley is survived by her mother Sandra Tracht of Sarasota; her brothers, Carter Tracht of Sarasota and Stan Tracht of Dallas, Texas; and her nephew Stanley Harrison Tracht. She is also survived by her cats Isabel and Ruby and her loyal dog Bentley. Lastly, and most importantly, Tinsley is survived by the wealth of friendships she earned during her lifetime.
