Vivian Noreen Booth Alviani, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Desoto Palms Assisted Living Community after a short illness, complications resulting from being 90 years young. She was born in Muskegan, Michigan April 20th, 1928. She was preceded in death by her father Byron C. Booth, mother Ivy Bullock Booth, brother Donald Booth, his wife Ula Booth Minter and stepmother, Avis M. Booth. Vivian's husband, the love of her life, was Angelo E. "Al" Alviani who she lost to Alzheimers in 2009. She spent her youth in Muskegan, Michigan; Syracuse, New York and Delevan, Wisconsin before moving to Sarasota in 1965. Vivian had two children, Bruce Roberts/Nancy of Sarasota, FL; Cynthia Roberts Miller/Ken of Brunswick, GA. She gained a bonus daughter with her marriage to Al, Rebecca Alviani Wilken/Dennis of Cottageville, SC. Grandchildren/step grandchildren include: Michele Roberts Snavely/Kent of Seminole, FL; Brad Roberts/Tara of Sarasota, FL; Jessica Miller Melone/Brian of Taylors, SC; Michael McNeely/Tiffany of Harrisville, Utah; Raymond McNeely/Leslie of Ogden, Utah and Lori McNeely Blau/Joshua of Layton, Utah. Also surviving Vivian are 8 great grandchildren/step great grandchildren. Vivian was a homemaker for years until joining Sarasota Sears in the Service & Installation Department, where she met her Al. She was a great spoiler of pets and wonderful to her rescue kitty, Dexter. Vivian was usually asked to bring desserts to family gatherings as her carrot cakes, apple pies, homemade apple sauce and other goodies were so appreciated. She passed down her tradition of making frosted, decorated, cutout cookies at Christmas. She will be remembered lovingly always, but especially at Christmas when we are making cookie messes in our kitchens. The family is appreciative and wants to thank Vivian's caregivers in recent months at Desoto Assisted Living Community and from Tidewell Hospice. A private family cremains burial ceremony will be held at Manasota Memorial Park at a later date. To honor Vivian's life, eat something great for dessert; or donate/volunteer at the .
