Born September 20, 1925, passed away and went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2013 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Alvina W. Hahn and father to Michael W. Hahn of Keene, NH and Lisa H. Smith of Barto, PA. He is survived by his wife Alvina W. Hahn, sisters Helen Petterson of Deshler, Ohio and Wandalou Badenhop of Hamler, Ohio. His parents were Harold and Clara Hahn of Hamler Ohio.
Mr. Hahn had lived in Roslyn, PA and also in Murray Hill, NJ and has been a resident of Venice Florida with his wife for over 20 years.
He graduated from Hamler High school in 1943, and Ohio State University in 1949. He served in World War II in the Army Airways Communications System, serving in the south pacific. He retired as Vice President of Brockway Glass Company.
During his retirement he played his beloved game of golf several times a week at Mission Valley C.C., and loved to bowl in his league on Thursdays.
Mr. Hahn was a loving grandfather and is survived by 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Venice, Florida on Tuesday, March 26th at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel has been selected to care for arrangements.
