Walter Manderson Obituary

Walter H. Manderson, 64 of Venice, Fla. passed on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
Walt was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Jan. 27, 1947. He moved to New Jersey in 1955. He married his wife Jackie of 43 years in 1968 before going to Viet Nam 1968/69. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was always a motivated self employed person. Upon moving to Venice in 1986 he was a very patriotic and giving man and was the main man behind the scenes when the Moving Viet Nam Wall was brought to Venice at the Airport several years ago with the financial help of the American Legion of Venice and Mike Gregor. He was very involved with The Elks Lodge 1854.
He is survived by his son, Brian and daughter-in-law Tammie; Walt also leaves behind two grandchildren, Morgan Marie (5)and Andrew John, (8); and closest family friends, Bill Hampson, Anna Wagner, John & Kay Brogan, Chris Blackport and Bob Teeters.
