Patricia Tyndall "Pat" Bedinger, 80, of Venice, formerly of Miami, died Oct. 25, 2010.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 13, in the Japanese Gardens Clubhouse in Venice.
Survivors include sons Lee Tyndall of Acworth, Ga., and Mike Tyndall of Miami; daughter Cathi Taylor of Raleigh, N.C.; stepdaughters Karen Stewart of Bradenton and Gail Hardwick of New Braunfels, Texas; stepson Barry of Gainesville; brothers Tom Blount of Greenacres and Richard Blount of Clermont; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pat was loved by all. Born in February 1930 in Coral Gables, she lived in Miami before moving to her beloved Japanese Gardens in 1988 from Lake Wales. She was a very active member of the Japanese Gardens Community, her positions including past president of the Social Club, recording secretary for the Japanese Gardens board of directors and editor of the "Socialite" newsletter, a service to the community she truly loved. She also continued to author a history book of her community, which she began with her late husband Ed Bedinger.
Burial will be at Englewood United Methodist Church Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TideWell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
