Finfer, Eileen Catherine

Eileen Catherine Finfer, age 84 of Venice, FL, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born April 25, 1927 in Arnold, Pa. to Francis and Syvilla Kronkoski.
Eileen was a very active member of Epiphany Cathedral, where she volunteered and supported the Pregnancy Care Center, aid to Migrant Workers and the Retreat Center to name a few. She met her husband, Bob, after WWII on a cruise line where they were both employed. They traveled the world and married in 1952, raised their family in Detroit, Mich. and retired to Venice, Fla. in 1985.
Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert "Bob" Finfer.
She prayed all of her life for happy, healthy children and grandchildren. She was blessed with both.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Cathy) Finfer; daughters, Cheryl Anne (David) Pizzini, Nancy (John) Alanskas, Diane (Stan) Higginbotham; grandchildren, Rob, Steven, Sara, Bailey, Grace, Francesca, Jessica, Jay and Julia; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Josie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Epiphany Cathedral, 350 Tampa Avenue, Venice, Fla. with Father John Fitch as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center of Epiphany Cathedral, 301 North Bay Shore Drive, Venice, Fla. 34285. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 N.W. 143rd Street.
