Bradford Smith Jahnes, 90, of Venice, formerly of Fair Haven, N.J. died April 10, 2012.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Middletown, N.J. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bradford was born in New York City and came to Florida in 1978 from Fair Haven, N.J. She was the widow of the late Paul N. Jahnes of Rumson, N.J. She leaves a nephew, William G. Jahnes of Clearwater, Fla. She retired from Public Relations for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also a member of the Alpha Psi Omega, the Elizabeth Tilly Colony of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Myakka Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a volunteer with Hospice South. An Episcopalian, she was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Venice, Florida, where she served on the vestry.
