CHESNEE, SC-- Nell Johnson, 78, formerly of 112 Flatwood Lane, Spartanburg, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at White Oak Estates in Spartanburg. Born August 23, 1933, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Bernice Bishop Johnson and the widow of Alton Johnson. She was retired from Spartan Mills after 30 years of service and was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church on Parris Bridge Road, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Nell loved her Lord and family.



Survivors include four sons and their wives, Dexter Johnson (Sharon) of Clinton, SC, Terry Johnson (Marie) of Spartanburg, SC, Douglas Johnson (Sherry) of Chesnee, SC, and Rex Johnson (Debbie) of Gaffney, SC; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Johnson of Boiling Springs, SC.



Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2012, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Phillip B. Welchel. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of her son, Doug Johnson, 175 Abbey Lane, Chesnee.
