John (Jack) Hildner of Englewood, Fl died on May 5, 2012.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 11, 2012 at 10 AM at Epiphany Cathedral.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Monica; daughters Theresa of De Pere, WI and Katherine Brown of Neptune, NJ, Sons Douglas of Bradenton, FL and Michael of De Pere, WI., grandchildren Matthew and Natalie Brown, and brothers Robert of Port Tobacco, MD and Thomas of Short Hills, NJ.
Born in New York City he graduated Spring Hill College with a degree in Business.
He served as a Special Agent, U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corp from 1962 to 1964 and was honorably discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant. Upon leaving the service he married his wife Monica on April 4, 1964 and began a career in the packaging business with the American Can Company. Company assignments included stints in New York City, Detroit, Baltimore, Boston, New Jersey and at company headquarters in Greenwich, Ct. where he was a senior executive responsible for all Beverage packaging and International operations. When American Can and National Can merged in 1986 he was appointed as a senior executive responsible for Food packaging and relocated to Lake Forest, IL. After retiring from American National Can the family relocated to Annapolis, Md. in 1991. There he held various executive positions within the packaging business.
