Claire Wolf, 92, of Sarasota, FL, died on Friday, May 18, 2012. She was born August 22, 1919, in Chicago, IL, and spent much of her life in South Haven, MI. Claire married the late Harold Wolf in 1941, and together they ran the Sun and Sand Resort and Sea Wolf Restaurant until 1983, when they retired to Venice, FL. Following the death of her husband, she relocated to Kobernick/Anchin Retirement Home in Sarasota, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her three sons, Martin A. Wolf of Columbus, GA; James R. Wolf of Bradenton, FL; Grant S. Wolf of Newark, DE; and a sister, Esther Bloch of Palm Desert, CA. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to The Jewish Housing Council Foundation, 1951 N. Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL, 34235; or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
