Edith M. Rosenthal, 86, of Longboat Key, FL, died on May 18, 2012.
Edith M. Rosenthal, age 86, Longboat Key, passed away on May 18, 2012. Edith was born July 15, 1925 in Berlin, Germany and came to Longboat Key from Yorktown Heights, NY where she taught 5th and 6th grade and raised her family. Her passions were many - travel, golf, tennis, bridge, skiing, sailing, theatre, music, entertaining, and anything with Henry, her loving husband of 62 years.
In addition to Henry, survivors include her daughters Nanette "Nina" (Frank) Sheftman of Israel and Carrie of York, Maine and Sarasota, Florida, her son Thomas "Rosie" of Cortland, NY, 5 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, her brother David Lewin of England, and her best friend of more than 50 years, Rita Wolfson.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Smith Care Center at Plymouth Harbor for the care and compassion that have shown both Edith and the entire family over the last two years.
