Gracie Gwendolyn McClenithan Campbell, 89, of Sarasota, FL, died on Jun. 4, 2012.
Gracie Gwendolyn McClenithan Campbell, 89, of Sarasota, FL, went to be with her Lord on June 4, 2012. Gracie will be remembered for her love of her family, passion for the family's heritage farm and many friends made through their family business. Gracie was active in the Sarasota County Farm Bureau receiving the Distinguished Service Award and Honorary Lifetime Membership recognition. Gracie loved the Lord and was a longtime member of the Tatum Ridge Baptist Church.
Gracie is preceded in death by husband, Sheldon L. Campbell, married 60 years. Gracie is survived by daughter Frances Martin (Donald) of Lake Placid, FL; son Edward Campbell (Patty) of Camilla, GA; grandchildren E.L. Campbell (Suzanne) of Stuart, FL; Ronnie Fripp of Panama City, FL ; Rory Martin (Melissa) of Sarasota, FL; Robbie Martin (Leaha) of Sarasota, FL; Reese Martin (Annette) of Lake Placid, FL; and Rhett Martin (Vicki) of Coral Springs, FL. Gracie is also survived by 13 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with service at 11:00 am at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota. Gracie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Tatum Ridge Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Potter Building, Sarasota Fairgrounds, following internment. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Tatum Ridge Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 7851 Campbell Road, Sarasota, FL 34240.
