Jack H. Bissett, 85, of Venice, FL, died on Jun. 7, 2012.
He was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Detroit, MI and came to Venice in 1973 from Detroit with his late wife Audrey. He served as a Detroit Fire Dept. Firefighter for 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion and Retired Detroit Police & Firefighters Association. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughters, Caroline Hickey of Jacksonville and Ruth Lukens (Steve) of Port Charlotte; sons John Bissett (Karen) of Naugatuck, CT, Joseph Bissett (Holley) of Park City, UT, and Wayne Bissett (Lisa) of Sunderland, MD; a sister Dorothy James of Sun City Center; and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a time to be determined at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Church Resurrection Garden.
