Peter Robert Budney, 48, of Sarasota, FL, died on Apr. 3, 2012. Services will be held at 9:30 am on Thurs., at Sarasota National in Sarasota, FL. Funeral arrangements by: Packer Funeral Home.
Peter Budney was an army veteran who served his country honorably and earned many badges, ribbons and good conduct medals. Peter was a kind and gentle man, devoting himself to the care of homeless and abandoned felines. Though he did not possess material wealth he was rich in compassion and dedication to those even less fortunate than himself. He lived humbly and his selflessness earned him the admiration of all who knew him.
He is missed by his beloved cat Forrest, his colony of felines, and his friends Barbara McCarten, Xenia Matthews, Robert Skogland, Barbara Bates, Keith Brecken, Steve, Amanda, Mindy and many more. A spay and neuter clinic will be held in his memory. Contributions can be made to compassion for pets, c/o Veterinary Associates of Jacaranda,1168 Jacaranda Boulevard, Venice Fl 34292.
