Horvath, Brad G.

Brad G. Horvath, age 53, of Nokomis, Florida, passed away at TideWell Hospice in Sarasota, FL after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in South Bend, Indiana and lived there until 1995 when he moved to Florida. Brad worked at AM General Corporation in South Bend, Indiana, until 1995, and then in Florida at Wesco Fountains Inc, Kearney Moving and Storage, and ultimately opened his own plumbing business in 2005, Brad's Plumbing Repair LLC, which he operated until his death. Brad was happy to move to Florida to get away from the cold winters in Indiana. He enjoyed fishing in the gulf and spending time with all of his extended family at the North Jetty in Nokomis, Florida. Brad was thrilled when his daughter, Nicole and granddaughter, Sierra moved to Florida in 2009, so that he could spend more time with them.
Surviving family members include daughter Nicole Horvath (Tom Dozier) of Nokomis, FL; son Brad Horvath (Brittenay Highland) of Mishawaka, IN; two granddaughters, Sierra Dozier of Nokomis, FL, and Addison Horvath of Mishawaka, IN; parents Jack and Nancy Horvath of Mishawaka, IN; brother Jack D. Horvath of South Bend, IN; sister Robin Gallup of South Bend; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive family and friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 9th, with the Memorial service starting at 7 pm, at the National Cremation and Burial Society, 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida.
