Born in Baltimore, MD on October 23, 1942 to R.F Copes Jr., and Corinne O'Neill.
Margie moved with her family to Longboat Key in 1958. Margie graduated from Manatee High School in 1961 and then attended Wesleyan College in Macon, GA. She married attorney, Jerry O'Riorden, in April 1967.
Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, July 11 at 10 AM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N. Orange Ave, Sarasota.
Funeral Mass to be held on Friday, July 20 at 10 AM at St. Martha Catholic Church 200 N Orange Ave., Sarasota.
She is survived by her loving husband Jerry; her daughter Laura; her sister, Kristen Copes of Decatur, GA, and her brother Tony Copes of Seattle, WA.
Margie was an avid pilot, having accumulated over 10,000 hours of flying with an Airline Transport Pilot Rating. She was also a ceramics painter who was well known in Sarasota. She will be missed by all who knew her.
