Blecha, Harriet Pauline

A longtime resident of Venice, Harriet moved to Quails Run in 1999. Born in Chicago she also enjoyed Zanesville, OH, & Erie, PA. She remained a loyal Cubs fan hanging onto hope that they would win the World Series.
Harriet was married 58 yrs to her high school sweetheart, Jerry Blecha, who preceded her in death. Harriet was a tireless volunteer as a Eucharist Minister and at Englewood Hospital. She was a Servant of Mary, committed to their mission of continuing the compassionate presence of the Mother of God in the lives of individuals struggling to discover God's will for them.
She is survived by her four married children: Laraine Jaidinger of Marengo, IL; Robert Blecha of Downers Grove, IL; Pauline Adam of Venice, FL and Jerry Blecha Jr. of Grays Lake, IL. Other survivors include 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson, and 6 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Sun July 22, 2012 at 5-7 PM at the Lemon Bay Funeral home in Englewood, Fl. A funeral mass will be held on Mon July 23 at St. Raphael's, Catholic Church at 10AM.
