Osta Creech, age 101, died peacefully on Wednesday July 25th.
Born June 8th, 1911 in Lee County, Virginia, she lived a full life in Sarasota and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting everything from still life to nature scenes. She and her husband Coy loved to travel and visited all the lower 48 states in their Airstream.
Osta is now in heaven where she longed to be. She was an amazing woman who will truly be missed by her 5 grandchildren; Steve, Greg, Tammy Chatzistamatis, David and Michael, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Coy, son Larry, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
There will be a graveside service at 5:00 pm, Saturday July 28th, at Sarasota Memorial Park.
