Ann Elizabeth Hammer, 78, passed away on July 28, 2012 at TideWell Hospice House, Venice, Florida. She was born on August 3, 1933 and raised in Long Beach, Long Island, NY.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Steven and Gordon, and their spouses, her sister, Joan Murray, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ann raised her family in North Merrick, NY. In 1998, she moved to Venice, where she enjoyed her retirement and volunteered at both TideWell Hospice House and Venice Regional Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 3, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Venice, FL.
Those wishing to remember Ann in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238 and kindly specify "Designate to Venice Hospice House.".
