Mancini, Lucille Patricia "Lulu"

Lucille "Lulu" Mancini, of Sarasota, passed away peacefully July 31, 2012. She was born in Freehold, N.J. and lived in Freehold and Belmar, N.J. before moving to Sarasota in 1985. She was a singer and a dancer in her younger years before raising her three children, and a secretary for most of her professional life. "Lulu" was very athletic. She taught dance and became a runner later in life. She was a member of both the Jersey Shore and Manasota Track Clubs. She ran several marathons and achieved national titles in her age group. She loved the Jersey Shore and the boardwalk where she began her running career. Lulu touched the lives of all who knew her and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Alfred "Alfie" of Sarasota; her children Cheryl (Tom) Bell of Sarasota, Wayne (Wendy) Mancini of Wall, N.J., Laura (Wayne) Lutz of Manasquan, N.J.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Celebrations of Life in Sarasota and Manasquan will be private and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Medical and/or Tidewell Hospice. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Horizon Bay, Manor Care and Tidewell for the love, support and care they have provided.
