Sarah (Sally) L. Tholken of Sarasota, Florida and Newburgh entered into rest Sunday August 12, 2012 at Bay Village of Sarasota. She was 98.
The daughter of the late Johnston and Jane Scott Lamont, Sarah was born December 26, 1913 in Newburgh. Sarah was employed for many years for the Cornwall Press Company as a proof reader.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Storm King Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son George L. Tholken Jr. and his wife Sue of Sarasota, FL, Grandchildren; Greg Tholken and Pamela Tholken, niece Jean Cox, four great grandchildren, William, Noelle, Garrett, and Jenifer. Sarah was predeceased by her husband George L. Tholken Sr, as well as siblings Elizabeth Lamont, Bertha Mantz, William J. Lamont, Otis Lamont, Herbison Lamont and Margaret Thompson and other family members.
Funeral services were held in Newburgh, NY.
