Ted A. Granger, 88, of Bradenton since 1967, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, died on Feb. 24, 2013.
Born in Brooklyn, New York he moved to Bradenton in 1967. A Veteran of the US Navy, he was a SEABEE during World War II and participated in invasions of Guam & Okinawa. He was a Sarasota Businessman, Real Estate Owner and Manager. He was a member of Manateean Sams, Sara Bay Country Club, Bradenton, Bayshore, and Suncoast Yacht Clubs and he was an avid RVer and Sailor. Predeceased by wife, Marjorie; survived by son, Ted (Elaine) of Jupiter, FL; daughters, DeeDee (Jay) Lloyd of Las Cruces, NM and Jeannette (Larry) Thompson of Bradenton, FL; companion, Roberta Omlor of Bradenton, FL; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Mass 11:00 A.M. Friday March 1, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church 833 Magellan Drive Sarasota, FL 34243.
