Binkley, Charles Allen "Chuck"
Dec. 14, 1944 - Sep. 6, 2013
Chuck was born in Lufkin, TX and moved to Jacksonville, FL with his family, where he graduated from Ribault High School in 1962 and then enlisted in the US Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant before retiring to Florida, where he began a second career as an investigator with the IRS.
He was an original member of St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Lakewood Ranch, FL and served several terms on the Bishop's Committee of that church. He loved his family, his home on the Braden River, and his German Shepherd, Sable.
He is survived, and will be sorely missed, by his wife, Bonnie Brown-Binkley; sons, Kevin of Richmond, VA and Collin of Niceville, FL; step-children Chris Seimers of Bradenton, FL and Kelly Ducham of Naples, FL; grandsons, Trevor and Tyler of Richmond, VA; and brothers, William and Lanny, and sister, Debra Prosch of Jacksonville, FL.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota FL 34238.
A Celebration of Life will be held by invitation at a later date.
