Jack Koach passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, and is survived by his wife, Beverly, and 2 sons, Randy and Brad. Jack graduated from Sarasota High School in 1943 and went immediately into the Navy Aviation Cadet Program. He received an appointment to the US Naval Academy and graduated in 1949. Jack became a Navy carrier pilot, becoming commanding officer of the oldest fighter pilot squadron in the US Navy, during which time he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. After 33 years on active duty, he retired in Washington, DC. and became an officer in an investment firm. He was currently living at Glenridge. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, April 14, at 1st Presbyterian Church, Oak St., Sarasota. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Dial Hope Foundation, Inc., PO Box 49992, Sarasota, FL, 34230.
