Sgt. Major Milton Mautner, 85, of Sarasota died April 22, 2010.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Sgt. Major Milton Mautner was the recipient of the Silver Star for exceptional bravery in Vietnam as well as numerous Bronze Stars, Purple Hearts and others for his service during World War II, Korean War, and three tours in Vietnam.
He leaves behind his wife, Alberta Mautner; Joanne Renaghan and Mary O'Meara, his daughters; as well as Walter Renaghan, Paul O'Meara, Robert, Jill, Glenn and Eve Johnston; Michele and John Wilson, Meghan and Tommy Burkey and Kaylee Wilson; Jennifer, Steve, and Steven Pattillo Jr.; Dawn, Samantha, and Hannah Schaefer; Patricia, Joseph, and Jacob Webster; Lorna and Mickey Collor; Jennifer, Gilbert, Amanda, Aubrey, and Erin Chavez; Bethany Maggella; Phillip and Cathe Gerhardt; Alan McDougall and Keith and Betsy McDougall; and Bud McDougall. Sgt. Major Mautner was preceded in death by his sister Lorraine McDougall and his niece Caroyl Simpson.
