JoAnn Holmes, of Moline, Ill. died Feb. 25, 2011.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St. A, Moline with a rosary at 3:30 p.m. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Survivors and Spouses include her husband, Arthur; children Jessica and Stephen Johnson, Moline, Jeffrey and Christine Holmes, Taylor Ridge and David Holmes, Moline; grandchildren Courtney Williamson, Russell Williamson, C.J. Holmes, Marti Holmes and Sean Holmes and Brian and Amanda Johnson; great-granddaughter, Ava Williamson, and many nieces and nephews in the Quad City and Sarasota, Fla. areas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, James, Dale and Robert Trevor and a sister, Frances Trevor Tolmie.
The former JoAnn S. Trevor was born Sept. 9, 1929 in Davenport, the daughter and one of five children of the late Richard and Eva Lemke Trevor. She was educated in Davenport Catholic Elementary Schools and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Davenport. She attended Marycrest College in Davenport. She was employed in the finance department of J.I. Case Company in Bettendorf prior to her marriage to Arthur C. Holmes on Sept. 13, 1952 in Davenport. She and her husband lived in Moline throughout their 58 year marriage.
JoAnn was a devoted wife and mother, and a loving friend to many. She engaged in many activities, including needlepoint, golf, bowling and knitting. She especially enjoyed playing bridge.
JoAnn was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Moline. She belonged to the Carolyn Getz Circle of King's Daughters, the former Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary, Junior Service League, Short Hills Country Club, East Moline and Meadows Country Club, Sarasota, Fla. She had a special fondness for small animals and always kept a dog and a cat at home.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and other personnel of Heartland Health Care Center and Trinity Pathway Hospice for the wonderful care and loving attention given to JoAnn and her family during her final illness.
