Hynes, Herbert A.

Herbert A. Hynes, beloved husband of Rose Gabriele Hynes, left this world peacefully at his home in Venice. He is survived by daughter, Cindy F. Lowrey of Venice; sisters, Ruth Ramik of Westport, Conn., Doris Sikorski of Stratford, Conn. and Joan Hamilton of Tunkhannock, Pa.
Herbert was born to Victor and Grace Hynes in Bridgeport, Conn. on Sept. 9, 1924. He attended Bridgeport Public Schools and was employed by the Singer Manufacturing Co. where he completed his apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker. He retired as Plant Operation Manager of Bridgeport Hospital.
He entered the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1943 and was discharged to the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1946. He proudly served in the Conn. Wing of the Civil Air Patrol as a Search and Rescue Pilot and transferred to the Florida Wing serving as a S/R and Cadet Orientation Pilot.
He served 15 years in Flotilla 86 Coast Guard Auxiliary, was involved in many search and rescue missions in the Gulf of Mexico as a Coxswain of this personal Vessel.
Bud was a member of Fidelity - St. John's #3 Masonic Lodge, Fairfield, Conn., Scottish Rite of Stratford, Conn. and Sahib Temple, Sarasota, Fla. He was a past Master of Lafayette Lodge 134, Fairfield, Conn.
He will be cremated and interred with Full Military Honors at the Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
