Neufeld, Arthur Milton

Arthur Milton Neufeld, of Fair Lawn, N.J., formerly of Paterson, N.J. died Feb. 29, 2012.
The son of Lorraine Neufeld Glixon of Sarasota, he was the beloved husband of Lois Gordon Neufeld and the father of Emily B. of Fair Lawn and Max G. of Providence, R.I. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel (Heidi), nieces Becky and Dana Neufeld and nephew Bruce Neufeld and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arthur was predeceased by his father Bernard of Paterson, N.J. when he was associated with him in the Lyric Silk Shop in Hackensack, N.J., his beloved brother Bruce Michael of Rosh Hanikra, Israel, his maternal grandparents, Martin M. Finke, distributor of the Paterson Evening News and Jeanne Greenblatt and his paternal grandparents Helen and Meyer Neufeld, all of Paterson, N.J.
Arthur attended Paul Smith's College of Arts and Sciences in Paul Smith's N.Y., Fashion Institute of Technology, N.Y.C. and was a graduate of Montclair State College in Montclair, N.J.
He was an educator and teacher of Social Studies in Rappahannock Country, Virginia from 1987-1992 and in School # 10 and Eastside High School in Paterson, N.J. from 1993 until his recent death.
He directed the Fair Lawn Camp Sycamore for 10 years and was a member of Temple Avodat Shalom, in River Edge, N.J.
Services will be Saturday evening at 7 p.m. Shiva Sunday and Monday.
Under the direction of Louis Suburban Chapel of Fair Lawn, N.J., Arthur was buried next to his father on King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, N.J.

We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Arthur. He was a wonderful person and had the gift of humour too! Dave and I knew him from temple and also the gym. Arthur will be missed. He will be forever in your hearts.
