Stanley T. Gorski, born November 16, 1924 in Bronx, NY passed away January 13, 2013 in Sarasota, FL.
During World War II, he served as a Corporal in the United States Army 2nd Ranger Battalion. He received a Purple Heart for his dedication to his county in the European Theater.
Returning from the war, he continued his service as a New York City Firefighter. After a long career in service to others, he retired to Sarasota in 1977.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jennie Gorski; Three sons and their spouses, Stan and Sue Gorski, Steve and Kathy Gorski, Tom and Nancy Gorski; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL on Wed, Jan 16 at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 2830, Wilmington, DE 19805.
