She lived with her daughter, Sophia Larusso and son-in-law, Joseph Larusso, for over 34 years, before moving to The Pines of Sarasota.
Grace relocated with her family to Sarasota in 1994. She was an active and vibrant Sarasota volunteer and recipient of the 1998 and 2001 Volunteer of the Year Award from J. H. Floyd Sunshine Manor. She was an active life long member of Walker Memorial Baptist Church in New York and the Tabernacle Church in Sarasota. She was an avid walker and loved to exercise. She was very beloved by all who met her. Her light will always burn bright in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters, Sophia Larusso of Sarasota and Margaret Johnson of New Rochelle, New York; son-in-law, Charles Johnson; step-grand daughter, Laura Vann-Larusso, her husband Richard Vann-Larusso and son, Matthew Vann-Larusso; her sister Marion Hall and brother, Samuel Shields and numerous family members.
