Herbert L. Goolsby, Jr., 85, of Sarasota, FL, died on Sep. 15, 2013. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thurs., at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL. Funeral arrangements by: Palms-Robarts Funeral Home.
Herbert was a lifelong resident of Sarasota and a graduate of Sarasota High School. He was retired from the United States Air Force serving in Korea and Vietnam and was a popular local stone crabber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Alma Hart Goolsby.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jacquelyn; a daughter, Lee Ann (Danny) Mason; 2 sons, Steven Goolsby and James (Diana) Goolsby; stepsons, Eric Bergmann, Brett (Rebecca) Bergmann, Kurt (Sandra) Bergmann; a brother, Jerry (Juanita) Goolsby; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
