Patricia Jean (Bausman) Clair, 92, of Sarasota, FL, was born on April 14, 1924 and died peacefully in the home of her daughter on October 27, 2016. Pat was raised in Rensselaer, Indiana and attended Purdue University where she met her late husband of 56 years, Frank James Clair. Together they raised their two daughters, Robin Clair Mason (Peter) of Sarasota, FL and the late Holly Ladouceur.
While supporting Frank's professional football career, Pat and her family lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario. She was a devoted homemaker and a model of strength for her family while also being active in her community through volunteerism. Pat and Frank retired to Peppertree Bay on Siesta Key, and enjoyed the many friendships over their 35 years in the area. Pat was very close to, and proud of, her grandson, Christopher Mason.
She will be missed by her many friends and family, but not forgotten, and she will live on in the hearts of the many who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Peppertree on November 13, 2016, and internment will take place in the spring, at her hometown of Rensselaer.
