John E. Schlosser(1924 - 2014)

Schlosser, John E., Sr.; age 89; of Trenton; passed away June 2, 2014. Born August 18, 1924 in Napoleon, OH, John was the son of Cash and Inez (Cameron) Schlosser. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from April 27, 1943 to March 22, 1946. John then married the love of his life, Beverly Knapp, on April 26, 1946. Sadly she preceded him in death November 17, 2009. John spent most of his career as a Railroad Superintendent with both DT&I Railroad and Ford Motor Company. John leaves to cherish his memory his children, Deborah Schlosser and David Schlosser; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Matthew, Philip, Katherine and Rachel Schlosser and Shelby Lewis; as well as four great grandchildren, Jack, Destiny and Maizie Schlosser and Riley Wetzel. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Schlosser and John Schlosser, Jr. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd. Funeral Services Celebrating His Life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday from the funeral home. Rev. Nick Koschmann of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will be 12 Noon Wednesday at Cole Cemetery in Florida, OH.
