Leonard LeBlanc

LeBLANC, LEONARD; age 89; January 15, 2013; longtime resident of River Rouge. Beloved son of the late Victor and Emma LeBlanc; dear brother of Dorothea Smalley; and brother-in-law of Anita Christine LeBlanc; preceded in death by his sister, Leona Lamb; and his brothers, Melford and Ralph LeBlanc; loving uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. He served in the Army during W.W.II in the Pacific Theater and was based in New Guinea. Mr. LeBlanc was awarded the Purple Heart for his heroism during his military service. He will be missed by his family and friends. During his last year, he resided at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center Nursing Home, where he made many new friends with the staff and residents. Arrangements for Interment at the Great Lakes National Cemetery are being made by Czopek Funeral Home (734) 285-9000.
