Marilyn Ann Proctor

PROCTOR, MARILYN ANN; 77; of Stilwell, KS; died August 21, 2013; at KC Hospice House, after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer, with her two sons by her side. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Atonement Lutheran Church in Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Marilyn was born August 24, 1935, to Harold and Elsie Johnson, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Park Ridge, IL and graduated from Maine South High School in 1953. Marilyn received an Associate Degree from Michigan State University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, and more importantly, where she met her future husband, John Proctor. They were married in November 1955. Shortly after that, her husband was drafted into the Army and was stationed outside of Honolulu, where she and John lived until 1957. After a few short stops across Michigan, they settled into Saline, MI, before relocating to Stilwell in 1977. She was preceded in death by husband, John Proctor; parents, Harold and Elsie Johnson; and brother, Russell Johnson. Marilyn is survived by her son, Tobin Proctor and wife, Denise; her son, Bradley Proctor; her four granddaughters, Hannah, Bailey, Micah, and Brooke; and a multitude of friends.
