ARMSTRONG, Otis F. Armstrong; 80; of Bellevue, died March 8, 2013, at home surrounded by family. He was born October 24, 1932, the son of Charles and Lanora (Bartlett) Armstrong, in Petoskey, Michigan. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, Otis spent time as a driver for Faygo before working in the maintenance department at The University of Michigan. Otis was a loving family man who had many interests. He spent time with his daughters helping with 4-H and showing horses, traveling and attending both Scottish and Indian festivals. At home, Otis loved his pets, watching westerns, and puttering in his work shop. He is survived by his fiancé, Ginger Cornell of Bellevue; daughters, Cindy (Dave) Harr of Bellevue, Rebecca Armstrong of Charlotte; grandson, Sean Harr of Bellevue; niece, Ann DuBois of New York. Otis was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 44 years, Mary (Isaacson) Armstrong; brother, Frank Armstrong; sister, Georgia Armstrong. A Committal Service with Military Honors will take place 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Oaklawn Hospice. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue.
