Ronald L. Robertson Obituary
ROBERTSON, RONALD L.; of Southgate; passed away on January 20, 2013; at the age of 82. He was born on August 6, 1930, in Model, Tennessee, to Robert and Erwin Robertson. Robert grew up in River Rouge where he also met his future wife, Mary. In 1950, he graduated from River Rouge High and they married. He enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean War. Robert retired from Dana Corporation as a Supervisor. He really enjoyed his retirement. He loved traveling with Mary as well as fishing and hunting. Robert was a member of the Allen Park Masons and longtime member of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by daughters, Vicki (Robert) Dorland and Gayle Robertson; sister, Robbyee Haynes; sister-in-law, Mary Robertson; grandson, Jerry Jones; and granddaughters, Mandy and Amber Silvani; also survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary; parents, Robert and Erwin; brother, James; and brother-in-law, Richard Haynes. Visitation Wednesday 2 to 9 p.m., Masonic Service 7 p.m. at R.J. Nixon Funeral Home, 2544 Biddle, Wyandotte, 734-284-1600. Funeral Thursday 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 72 Oak, Wyandotte. In State 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Michigan Memorial Park.
