HOLLOBAUGH, JACK A.; 77; of Salyersville, KY, and formerly from Ecorse and Gladwin, MI; April 13, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Kathryn (Enright) Hollobaugh; a sister, Dorothy Collins; brother-in-law, Hal Stanton; and grandson, Gerald Hollobaugh, Jr. Survived by his wife, Dora Hollobaugh; children, Ann (Kevin) VanBoxell, Allen (Michele) Hollobaugh, Yvonne (Don) Johnston, Gerald Hollobaugh, John (Cindy) Hollobaugh, Regina (Robert) Jones, Annie (Scott Brown) Helton, Connie (Danny Ray) Patrick, Cpl. Kurt (Tasha) Hollobaugh, Gene (Katie Swett) Hollobaugh; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ronald Gene (Shirley) Hollobaugh, Mary Kay Stanton, Richard (Jane) Hollobaugh, Rita (David) Mogg, Patricia Sue (Richard Balamucki) Hollobaugh; godchildren, Mary Jo Desantis and Lisa VanBoxell; many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years and was a firefighter with the Ecorse Fire Department for 25 years and retired as Fire Marshall. He was a member of various organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and served as an usher at St. Francis Xavier in Ecorse, MI and at Sacred Heart, Gladwin, MI. Jack loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and just basking in the sun. His thrill of the hunt extended to attending auctions where he enjoyed seeking out hidden treasures and outbidding others. Jack was a true "Jack of all trades" - he was an electrician, worked on cars and anything mechanical. One of his greatest joys in life was to cook and he will always be remembered for his city chicken and apple dumplings. Funeral Services were held April 16, 2012 at the Dyer's Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, KY. Donations may be made to the St. Luke Catholic Church Rebuilding Fund, P.O.
