Sandra Mary (Baker) Miller Obituary
MILLAR, SANDRA MARY (BAKER); passed away peacefully as a result of cancer on Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born December 13, 1941 to Ernest and Anne Baker in Three Rivers, Michigan. Sandy is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Millar and their daughters; Kimberly (Thomas) Condon, Michelle (James) Hughes, Jesslyn (Nelson) TerBurgh and Allison (William) Braden. Sandy will be missed by her seven grandchildren; Chad, Drew, Parrish, Aaron, Eli, Josie and Cole. She is also survived by her siblings Norma Ferguson, Joy (Paul) Prey, Tim (Chris) Baker, Joe Baker, Teresa Baker and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexandria Renee TerBurgh, parents, Ernie and Anne Baker, and Russell and Kathleen Millar, sister, Janice Seiler and brother, Tommy Baker. She graduated from Mendon High School, Eastern Michigan University and Loyola University of New Orleans. Sandy was most importantly a wonderful wife, mother and goumah. She lead the Mustard Seed Youth Ministry Program at St. Joseph Catholic Church for 7 years, and served with the Catholic Diocese of Lansing as the Director of Family Ministries for 17 years. She loved life and continued to plan family vacations until she passed away. Some of her other favorite activities were gardening, cooking, birding and camping. Many people know Sandy from her exceptional ability to host a great party. She will be missed by life-long friends she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. at Hosmer Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Village Church (corner of Dover and Fourth) on Saturday, January 12, 2013, 11 a.m. with instate at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
