Sam Alfano Obituary
ALFANO, SAM; 97; of Wyandotte; passed away on March 4, 2013. He was born December 22, 1915, in Wyandotte, to Antonio and Maria (Bommarito) Alfano. On November 24, 1941, he married Betty Jane Gordon, and she survives. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during W.W.II, and was a member of the VFW Post #1136 and the American Legion Post #217, both in Wyandotte. He owned and operated Alfano Brothers Texaco and Alfano Brothers Auto Beauty Parlor, before going to work as a car salesman for Walt Hickey Ford. Sam enjoyed golfing and traveling. Along with his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his children, Anthony (Janey) Alfano of Riverview and Judy (John) Mihalov of Wyandotte; grandchildren, Christina (Steve) Voss and Jason Williams; and great grandchildren, Sydney and Anthony. Sadly, his brothers, Jim, Pete, Nof, and Joe, all preceded him in death. The family invites friends to call on Friday, March 8, 2013, at the R. J.
