Daniel Gretzner Obituary

GRETZNER, DANIEL EDWARD; age 71; of Downriver; passed away November 30, 2013. Survived by his loving son, Dan Gretzner, II (Bonnie); and granddaughters, Jordan and Hannah; sister, Susan (Chuck) Graham; nieces and nephews, Christine Hagen, Jim (Kelly) Hagen, Emily, Olivia, Hunter, Layla and Gunner. Preceded in death by his father, Edward; mother, Maxine; and brother, Ronald. Services were Tuesday at J.L. Peters Funeral Home, 3880 Fort St., Lincoln Park, Michigan. (313)928-6500. Dan was a spiritual man who loved family, friends, fishing, Ford and fun. He was a proud 1960 Wyandotte High alumni and 34-year employee of Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2000. For parts of five decades, Dan captured historical sports events and celebrations as a newspaper writer for the Wyandotte Tribune and Dearborn Press and as a columnist/photographer for the Downriver Review and Dearborn Times Herald, featuring his "Focus on Sports" column. So, so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He will be missed and the photo's that will no longer be taken. Such a nice man.
