JOHN ROBERT SAUNDERS In Loving Memory of John Robert Saunders, 64, born on April 13, 1948. He passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda on March 16, 2013 of cardiac arrest, and other complications. He is survived by his good friend of many years, John Lopez. He is also survived by his sister, Victoria, and his brother, Steven. During his stint in the U.S. Navy, John (Rob) spent months at a time aboard a nuclear submarine called "The Halibut." He liked to spend his furloughs on the islands of Hawaii. "Rob" and his friend John owned a printing shop in which Rob did the art and graphic designs. They sold the shop and moved to the High Desert. Some of Rob's hobbies included, oil painting. He enjoyed painting landscapes, and he also enjoyed reading mystery novels. Sometimes, Rob would just sit on the porch, with his coffee and talk about his travels. John Robert Saunders, You Will Be Missed!
