GERALD (JERRY) A. CLARK Jerry Clark, 68, passed away Friday, March 15 following complications due to a fall. He is survived by his high school sweet heart and wife of 47 years, Jeri. Jerry was born and raised in Orange, California and graduated from Orange High School and attended Abilene Christine College for Agri-Business . He is also survived by his daughter, Eva, and son, James, daughter-in-law Kelly and beloved grandchildren Tyler and Kelsi, his mother, Helen and five sisters, Marilyn, Mary-Etta, Jennifer, Charlotte and Kathy. Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved father Cecil Clark. A 44 year resident of the Valley, he worked for Contel 15 years, a owner-operator truck driver 15 years and a local farrier and horse and mule trainer. Jerry was a member of many organizations including; VP of Hesperia Wranglers, Apple Valley Pigeon Club, Cowboys for Christ, Director and VP of California High School Rodeo District 8, Apple Valley Sheriff Posse and Back Country Horseman of America. Volunteer work included search and rescue, animal evacuations and leading his trusted pack mules on Public Lands for BLM, USFS and Back County Horseman projects. Favorite past times included family pack trips and fishing and hunting in the High Sierras, team roping and supporting local rodeos. Jerry's passion for the back country way of life led him to enter his pack string in many parades and pack clinics to educate future generations. A Celebration of Life to honor Jerry will be Sunday, April 14, 2 pm at Mountain View Ranch - 9924 Mocking Bird Ave, Apply Valley off Deep Creek to Tussing Ranch Rd, right on Mocking Bird. 760-408-0104 Eva.
