JASON S. HUGHES 10/5/1976 - 12/29/2013 Jason S. Hughes former resident of Barstow, CA and current resident of Marysville, CA passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2013. Born October 5, 1976 in Apple Valley CA, he was a Yuba Sutter resident for 15 years. Jason was a Road Maintenance Worker II for Yuba County. Survivors include his parents, John E. Hughes and Donna L. Hughes of Barstow, CA. He is also survived by his three older brothers, John E. Hughes II of Apple Valley, CA, Aaron T. Hughes of Palm Desert, CA, and Michael A. Hughes and his wife Shawnte C. Hughes of Marysville, CA. Additionally, he had many nieces and nephews who he was deeply devoted to including Brittney Lemstrom, Shelby Hughes, Eric Henry, Taylor Hughes, Bailey Hughes, Tawni Henry, Taylor Hughes, Bailey Hughes, Tawni Henry, Parker Hughes, Jordan Henry, Joey Henry, Mark Henry, Nehemiah Lemstrom, Riley "monkey" Henry and Nina Lemstrom. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his grandmother, Katherine Hughes. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Carl Hughes and Fred Morawcznski and his grandmother, Stella Morawcznski. Jason was a member of the Elks Lodge, Clampers, and was a little league coach. Jason was very involved with local sporting events and was an active member of his community and loved by many. Jason was laid to rest in Browns Valley on January 4, 2014.
