LARRY R OLSEN 12/5/1939 - 1/7/2014 Larry entered into Eternal life on January 7, 2014 after an extended illness. The eldest of two children to Rex Olsen and Teresa Rae Olsen of Pocatello, ID. Preceded in death by his father Rex Olsen. Survived by his mother Teresa Olsen and his sister Marilyn Olsen of Chubbuck Idaho and his loving wife Brenda Olsen of Apple Valley CA. Roger Olsen (son) and Valerie of Pocatello ID; Cindy Olsen (daughter) of Apple Valley CA; Brian Olsen (son) and Tracy - Colorado Springs CO; Jessica Peck (daughter) - Byron IL; Benjamin Peck (son) - Apple Valley CA. Eight Grandchildren: Jennifer Olsen - Las Vegas NV; Jake Olsen - Tucson AZ; Jenelle Olsen - Pocatello ID; Arielle Linson - Apple Valley CA, Bailey Linson - Apple Valley CA, Rex Olsen - Colorado Springs CO, Vianne Olsen - Colorado Springs CO, and Robert Peck Apple Valley CA. Many relatives of Larry's are located around the USA. Larry grew up in Pocatello Idaho and graduated from Pocatello High School, he moved to Riverside CA and worked for Kaiser Steel Co for 30 years as the Maintenance Forman for the fire kilns where he stayed and helped to close the mill. He owned and operated the Ace Auto Parts store in Victorville for several years before closing the doors and moving to Inyokern CA to work as a Maintenance and Operations Director for Sierra Sands USD. Larry and Brenda married and moved to Apple Valley where Larry commuted to West Covina USD for several years, and then retired in 2000 He loved his family, children, and his cats Jody and Jake. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on automobiles and car races the most. Larry will be returning to his home town, which he loved so much, of Pocatello Idaho where he will rest in Eternal life. Services will be held on January 17, 2014 at the Rest Lawn Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho.
