COLUMBUS — Columbus Police Sgt. Brian C. Dyer, age 45 of Grove City, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 following complications due to surgery. Brian was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Grove City. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Political Science and a minor in Criminology. Brian coached football, basketball, volleyball and soccer and was a member of the leadership team for Upward Sports. Brian is preceded in death by his in-laws Larry and Elayne Lewis. Survivors include his wife Marsha Dyer, daughters Taylor and Janie Dyer; parents Donald L. and Darlene Dyer; sister Audrey (Mark) Deck; brother Jeff (Kim) Dyer; brother and sister-in-law John (Terrie) Lewis; uncle and aunts Larry (Karen) Mileski and Kathy Richardson; nieces and nephews Lisa, Matt, Morgan, Jon, Melissa, Daniel, Molly, Macey and Abbigail; great nephew and niece Landon and Alaya; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Friends may visit on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4-8 PM at First Baptist Church of Grove City 3301 Orders Road, Grove City, with an FOP service at 7:30 PM. Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the church, with Rev. Dr. Jerry Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
