Donna Butcher-Jobe (1938 - 2017)

DAYTON - Donna Joy Butcher-Jobe, age 79 of Dayton, formerly of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday July 19, 2017 at the Soin Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1938 in Salt Rock, WV, the daughter of the late John and Amma (McCallister) Porter. Donna was most proud of her employment as the first civilian female aircraft mechanic for the government and retired after over 30 years of service in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB. She was a member of Mary, Help of Christians Parish in Fairborn, where she was active with the Daughters of Isabella; and St. Peter Parish in Huber Heights. Donna was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of many fraternal organizations. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years, George M. Butcher, Jr.; and three sisters, Wilma Collins, Betty Collins, and Freda Adkins. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Charles Jobe; nine children, George III "Jet" (Jayne) Butcher, Nicholas Butcher, Mark Sr. (Yvonne) Butcher, Patrick Butcher, Teresa Bauer, Catherine (Larry) Williams, Stephen (Cathy) Butcher, Francis (Juli) Butcher, Allison (Craig) Johnson; five step-children, Richard (Mary) Jobe, Mark (Kellie) Jobe, Paul (Elaine) Jobe, Amanda Jobe, Jim Jobe; grandchildren, Mark Jr., Micheal, Matthew, Marshall, Holly, Brad, Chris, Breanna, Alexis, John, Cody, Catie, David, Nikki, Olivia, Todd, Clare, Scott, Emily, Renee, Jay, Danielle, Haylee, Josh, Amanda, Nick, Vickie, Samantha, Matt, Natalie, Aaron, Becca; numerous beloved great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda "JoAnn" Porter-Butcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday July 24, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Father Ethan Moore Celebrant.
