Edward Haywood (1939 - 2015)

DAYTON — Edward "Ed" Haywood, age 75, passed away early Saturday morning May 23, 2015 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Born in Dayton on August 20, 1939 the first child of Charles and Evah (Bonham) Haywood. Ed was an electrician by trade and there pretty much wasn't anything he couldn't fix, do or at least have an opinion on. He is survived by sisters Nancy McCurdy, Peggy Walker, Pat (Ralph) Stephens and brother John (Samantha) Haywood, daughter Jennifer (Scott) Martin and grandchildren Elizabeth (Don) Robinson, Alison (Josiah) Ruff, Madeline and Samuel, great-grandchildren Isaiah, Elijah and Adalay Robinson and Cora Ruff, ex-wife Elizabeth Haywood, and McLaughlin children Michael (Cindy), Christopher, Timothy (Patience), Julia and Sandra (Chris) Newman, daughter Jennifer (Scott) Martin and grandchildren Elizabeth (Don) Robinson, Alison (Josiah) Ruff, Madeline and Samuel, great-grandchildren Isaiah, Elijah and Adalay Robinson and Cora Ruff. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, stepson Patrick and brother in law Mac McCurdy. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at Sulphur Grove UMC, 7505 Taylorsville Road. Ed donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Edward Haywood Memorial Scholarship Fund.
